HEY!

Originally from Washington, DC, the traditional territory of the Nacotchtank/Anacostan/Piscataway people, Anna Rock (she/her/hers) is currently working as an actress with EMC status in New York City, the ancestral homeland of the Lenape tribe. Anna's recent theatre credits include the one-woman show Trump Rally at Theater Row, Hamlet (Polonius/Gravedigger) and Much Ado About Nothing (Dogberry) at the Texas Shakespeare Festival, Kate Hamill’s adaptation of Pride & Prejudice at Lost Nation Theater (Mary Bennet/Mr. Bingley), On Golden Pond at The Winnipesaukee Playhouse (Chelsea Thayer Wayne), Pippi Longstocking the Musical at Peterborough Players (Mrs. Priselius), Wind in the Willows at Peterborough Players (Rat), An Inspector Calls at Peterborough Players (Edna), The Sterling Renaissance Festival in Sterling, NY (Marjorie Plymmswoode), Midsummer Night's Dream (Puck) and Romeo & Juliet (Friar Laurence) with Monsterpiece Theater. Her recent film credits include a comedic industrial for United Therapeutics with SNL’s Cecily Strong, Out There (Cherry), The Death of a Cat (Caroline), and Richard III (Lady Anne Neville).

Anna is a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College, where she performed on the improv and sketch team Feral Christine, champions of the 2015 National College Improv Tournament. She studied at the Moscow Art Theater School in Russia under Anatoly Smeliansky and trained in commedia dell'arte at the Accademia dell'Arte in Arezzo, Italy. Since graduating college, Anna has trained extensively in comedic improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade and spent three years performing with her indie improv and sketch team New Greta, the champions of the 2016 Del Close Marathon Indie Cagematch Tournament and winners of the 2015 Peoples Improv Theater’s Sketchy Sketchy Prov Prov Tournament.

You can see Anna sing AND dance as larger-than-life characters with Story Pirates at elementary schools all over the New York City area!
